Life's rhapsody

Ainon N

To read life
in its wholeness
They say,
Connect beginning with end
Ah, but life concludes today
Not on fringe of somewhere

It is that fragment
The incomplete distance
Where the journey resides
Dreams retreat
Arrange form of its own
Omens foretell
Real, unreal

There life is held a prisoner
To new conceptions
Standing on the verge
The now
Into a paradox

The poet writes from Chicago, USA
