Missing UP member held with arms

Meherpur: A Union Parishad member was held with shutter-gun three days after his going missing from Uthli Bazar area in Jibannagar upazila of Chuadanga district on Tuesday.

Detainee Hasanuzzaman alias Boro Hasan,  28, son of late Yasin Ali, working under Ward No: 8 of Raipur Union in Gangni upazila of Meherpur district.

Enamul Haque, officer in-charge of Jibannagar Police Station, confirmed the matter.    

Seven to eight plain clothed poeple introducing themselves as member detectives picked up him on Saturday evening when he was taking tea in his residence Chandpur village.

Following his missing, family members lodged a general diary with Gangni Police Station on November 12.
