Commerce Minister Tofail Ahmed on Monday urged Singapore to give Bangladesh duty-free facility in export to the country to boost trade relation between the two friendly countries.

Mentioning that trade relation with Singapore is better, Tofail said, "The relation will be strengthened more if the country offers Bangladesh duty-free market access."

He said this after meeting Singapore's non-resident High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Chan Heng Wing, at his office in Dhaka.

He called upon the Singapore High Commission to inspire the country businessmen to invest more in Bangladesh.

Through the high commissioner, he also gave assurance of hundred percent business profit to Singaporean businessmen.
