FBCCI, a2i join hands to reduce cost of doing business
The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) and the Access to Information (a2i) programme of the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) agreed to work jointly for boosting business atmosphere in the country.
The agreement came when the FBCCI and the a2i signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to reduce the cost of doing business, explore the obstacles and opportunities of doing business and capacity development of various stakeholders at a ceremony at FBCCI on Sunday.
FBCCI Secretary General (In-Charge) Hussain Jamil and PMO Director General Kabir Bin Anwar signed the MoU in presence of FBCCI Acting President Sheikh Fazle Fahim, a2i Policy Adviser Anir Chowdhury, FBCCI Vice President Md. Muntakim Ashraf and other senior officials of both the sides.
According to the MoU both parties will develop an online G2B platform by simplifying, digitizing and integrating G2B services delivered by different agencies across the government.
Both the parties will develop an ICT based platform to improve the situation for business entities including small, medium and large investors.
It will also develop a business portal for ensuring accessibility to information and services required by business entities. The portal will facilitate knowledge sharing among the business entities.
The MoU will also focus on enhancement of capacity of the existing digital center throughout the country and also will create skilled human resources for decent employment.
Addressing the occasion Sheikh Fazle Fahim said under this memorandum FBCCI and the a2i programme will work together for the next three years. Business community will be provided necessary information and support from this programme, he added.
