Smuggled Indian items seized, one held

MEHERPUR, June 26: Members of Detective Branch of Police in the district seized smuggled Indian cloths, saris and cosmetics worth about Taka six lakh from village Bamundi under Gangi upazila on Sunday morning and arrested one in this connection.
The arrestee has been identified as Mizanur Rahman, son of Azgar Ali of village Bamundi Nishipur under Gangni upazila. 
Hamidul Alam, police super, said that, on secret information, a team of DB police led by S M Mostafizur Rahman, senior assistant police super, raided the house of Mizanur Rahman on Sunday morning and   recovered Indian cloths, three pieces and cosmetics worth about Taka six lakh from his possession.
After that, police sent him to court hajat.
