Law enforcers arrested some more 3,115 people, including 26 suspected militants, in the last 24 hours till 6am on Tuesday in the week long anti-militant combing operation.
Among the detainees, 2,368 were wanted accused while 295 held in connection with recovery of illegal drugs, 38 in connection with recovery of illegal firearms and 388 in other sections, said AKM Kamrul Ahsan, senior information officer at the Police Headquarters.
With this, a total of 11,684 people have so far been arrested since the crackdown began on Friday.
In the wake of recent secret and targeted killings, police launched a week long countrywide anti-militant combing operation on Friday morning.
