Two female bodies including a pregnant woman were recovered from Khilgaon and Badda areas in the city on Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Fatema Begum Chaiti, 23, and Shahida Begum, 22.
Chaiti's brother Arif Hossain said his sister's husband Ramizuddin phoned him when he found her dead claiming she had had a stroke.
However, the husband had been absconding from then. Arif also said Chaiti was pregnant.
Meanwhile in another incident, of Shahida Begum, a 22-year-old garment worker, was been found in her residence at Madhya Badda area, where she lived with her 'husband' Mohammed Anis.
