At least two bodies including an Indian truck driver were found from two districts - Jessore and Rajshahi on Sunday.
JESSORE: Police recovered body of an Indian truck driver from a truck's cabin at Benapole Land Port here on Sunday night.
The deceased was identified as Rothas Rothi, 41, of Hariana in India.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Benapole Port Police Station Apurba Hasan said the driver entered Benapole with a chemical-laden truck on Thursday afternoon. On Sunday afternoon, the on-duty Ansar members found the cabin of the truck open and became suspicious.
Later, they found the driver asleep and called him. But, as there was no response, they informed the matter to the Director of Benapole Port and he informed the matter to police. On Sunday at 8:30pm, the body was recovered and brought to the police station, the OC added.
RAJSHAHI: Police recovered body of a day labourer from Baghair area under Tanore upazila here on Sunday evening. He was identified as Arshad Ali, 30, son of late Abdul Rahim of the village.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdur Razzak of Tanore Police Station said being informed by locals, police recovered the body at 7pm and sent it to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.
A case was filed with Tanore Police Station, the OC added.
