Police recovered the buried bodies of four children in Bahubal upazila of Habiganj district on Wednesday morning, five days after they went missing.
However, Sylhet Police DIG Mizanur Rahman, who visited the site, announced a Tk 100,000 reward if anyone finds the killers.
Meanwhile, police in primary investigation found evidence that the killings might have taken place over dispute among elders.
The deceased were identified as--Jakaria Ahmed Shuvo, 8, son of Md Wahid Miah, Tazel Miah, 10, son of Abdul Aziz, Monir Miah, 7, son of Abdal Miah, and Ismail Hossain, 10, son of Abdul Kadir.
Bahubal Thana OC Mosharraf Hossain said, four children were missing since Friday afternoon when they went to play a nearby field. Family members searched them for a long time.
As the family members of four children could not trace about them, Shuvo's father filed a general diary on Saturday.
Later, police recovered the bodies under the soil at Sundratiki village.
