Jahangirnagar University Science Club (JUSC) on thursday distributed warm clothes among underprivileged people at the university's Shaheed Minar premises.
JUSC President Shahadat Hossain addressed the function around 8:30 am while members and advisors of the organisation distributed around 200 pieces of blanket among the underprivileged including rickshaw pullers and tea traders who live close to the university campus at Savar, Islamnagar and Garuoa.
Among others JUSC advisors Dr. Md. Tajuddin Sikdar, Md. Shakhawat Hossain and Secretary Abu Sayed attended the function.
Fakrul Islam, one of the advisors said, 'We organised the programme to protect the underprivileged from the severe outbreak of winter'.
