Northern University of Business and Technology embarks upon

The inauguration of Northern University of Business and Technology, Khulna (NUBTK) took place on Saturday with a colorful and gorgeous programme. Dr. Moshiur Rahman, Financial Advisor of the Prime Minister was present as chief guest. In his speech, Dr. Moshiur Rahamn mentioned "Without an educated nation and skilled man power, we cannot be a developed nation. With the vision of creating a literate and active manpower, the present government is taking a lot of initiative. For this reason, the government approved the establishment of several private universities in different parts of the country. We hope that NUBTK opens a new opportunity of higher education for the students of the south west part of the country. The university will contribute to higher education through highly qualified teachers, research opportunities and the use of information technology." He also appreciated the six faculties with which the university began. He expressed his desire that after the completion of their study, the students will participate in nation building activities.
The programme was chaired by Professor Dr. Abu Yusuf Mohammad Abdullah, Vice Chairman of NUBTK.
Mr. Narayan Chandra MP, Alhaj Mr. Md Mijanur Rahman MP, Mr. Sheikh Nurul Huq MP, Mr Panchanan Biswas MP, the Commissioner of Khulna Division Mr. Md. Abdus Samad, the DC of Khulna district Mr. Sheikh Harunur Rashid, Metropolitan Police Commissioner of Khulna, Mr. Nibash Chandra Majhi spoke on the occasion.
Mr. Ansar Ali, Chairman of NUBTK, said in his speech that the university started its journey to meet the challenge of twenty first century and the university would turn into the best university in the country by its contribution to higher education.
In his welcoming speech the VC of NUBTK Prof Dr. Anwarul Karim said that the university would be a modern and specialized university that would uphold the history, culture and tradition of the area.
