It started with the leadership of artist Shawon Akand in association with artist Delowar Hossain in Kushtia (a south-western district of Bangladesh) since 2007. Organisers of the art camp believe that art is a complex process and is inseparable from life and living styles. They also think that every form of art has an inter-relation and it is necessary to develop these connections to create a favorable environment for the progress of artistic practice. Therefore, not only visual artists but also theatre activists, photographers, film makers, psychologists, poets, writers, journalists, actors and people from many other disciplines are welcome in this art camp.
This camp will take place in Smaran Matshya beej Khamar in Kushtia, Bangladesh from 25 to 30 December 2014. Last day of the art camp (December 30) will be the open day for all viewers to see the artworks and meet the artists at camp place in Kushtia.
