After failure in forming the Bangladesh Nationalist Front (BNF), former BNP leader Barrister Nazmul Huda has announced to float a new political party-- Bangladesh Manabadhikar Party (BNP).
He made the announcement at a press briefing at his Topkhana Road office on Saturday .
"At present, there are now two major political alliances in Bangladesh. One is 20-party alliance, lef by BNP, while Awami League is leading the grand alliance and the third is Bangladesh National Alliance, Huda said, adding, "BMP will play its role as the driving force of the third alliance."
Bangladesh National Alliance vice president Porosh Bhasani and Rafiqul Islam were, among others, present in the press conference.
The former Communication Minister was expelled from BNP in November, 2010 after he criticized Khaleda Zia and urged both Khaleda and Sheikh Hasina to sit for dialogue. Later on March 19, 2011 his expulsion order was withdrawn.
On June 6, 2012, he resigned from BNP and formed his own political party BNF-- from where he was also expelled. Later he formed another party-- Bangladesh National Alliance (BNA) in the same year.
